Dew moves to Renault Clio for 2008

Vision Motorsport instructor Alex Dew will be competing in the Renault Sport Clio Cup Championship, racing in the car that won the championship in 2007, and will be working with Solutions Racing who will manage the team.

For 2008 he will be tutored by a good friend, Carl Breeze, who is an ex British touring car driver and current Seat Cupra Championship Runner up.

Testing the new race car started a couple of weeks ago at Snetterton (Norwich), where he gave the car its first shake down and initial setup changes. The team has arranged several more test days scheduled over the next couple of months, with the official Renault test day on March 20th at Silverstone.

Alex's first race of the season is the 29th/30th of March at Brands Hatch, see him live on ITV4.

Good luck Alex.

What a season!

Vision Motorsport instructor Alex Dew finished his first competitive racing season with a string of podium finishes.

Alex competed in the 750mc hatchback championship, which is the biggest club championship in the UK with over 100 registered entrants for the 2007 season.

Tutored by Chevrolets World touring car driver Rob Huff, he competed in a Class A car which saw him rack up 8 podium finishes, including two wins, three second places and new lap record set at Castle Combe earlier in the year.

For the 2008 season he plans to enter the Renault Clio Cup which supports the British Touring Car championship and attracts crowds in excess of over 40,000 to each meeting.
